Welcome to Silk Holidays! These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website and the services we offer. By booking a trip or using our website, you agree to the following terms.
1. Booking and Payment
- A booking is considered confirmed only after receiving the full payment or a deposit (as specified during booking).
- Full payment must be made before the start of the trip unless otherwise agreed.
- Payments can be made via bank transfer, credit card, or in person at our office.
2. Pricing and Inclusions
- All prices are quoted in [your currency, e.g., NPR/USD] and are subject to availability.
- Prices include only those services mentioned in the itinerary (e.g., accommodation, transport, meals where stated).
- Any additional services (e.g., extra excursions, personal expenses, insurance) are the traveler’s responsibility.
3. Cancellations and Refunds
By You (the Client):
- Cancellations must be made in writing.
- Cancellation charges may apply as follows:
- 30+ days before departure: 10% cancellation fee
- 15–29 days before departure: 25%
- 7–14 days: 50%
- Less than 7 days or no-show: No refund
By Silk Holidays:
- We reserve the right to cancel a tour in case of unforeseen events (e.g., natural disaster, low enrollment).
- In such cases, we will offer an alternative tour or a full refund.
4. Changes to Itinerary
- Itineraries are subject to change due to weather, political conditions, or other factors beyond our control.
- Silk Holidays will make reasonable efforts to provide alternative arrangements of equal value.
5. Travel Insurance
- Travel insurance is highly recommended for all clients.
- The policy should cover trip cancellation, medical emergencies, evacuation, and personal liability.
6. Health and Safety
- Clients must inform us of any medical conditions or dietary restrictions at the time of booking.
- It is the responsibility of the traveler to be in good health to undertake the trip.
7. Visa and Passport
- Travelers are responsible for securing a valid passport and any required visas before travel.
- We can assist with visa processing, but ultimate responsibility lies with the traveler.
8. Liability
- Silk Holidays is not liable for injury, death, illness, damage, delay, or loss caused by third parties or events beyond our control.
- We act only as an intermediary for transport, accommodation, and other services.
9. Complaints
- Any complaints during the trip must be reported to the guide or tour leader immediately.
- If unresolved, please email us at info@silkholi.com within 7 days of trip completion.
10. Use of Images and Feedback
- We may use photographs or testimonials shared by clients for promotional purposes unless specifically requested not to.
11. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Nepal. Disputes will be handled by the competent courts of Kathmandu.
